In many countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean Yuca is a dietary staple usually eaten boiled, steamed, and in flour form as thickeners or additional ingredients for noodles, cakes, and pastries. It is also called cassava, casava,manioc, mandioca, tapioca root, yuca root and yucca.
